Champions Sports Academy

This is where future leaders tip off.

Led by Mystics legend and Women’s Basketball Hall of Famer Alana Beard, Mystics Champions Academy in partnership with the 318 Foundation is built different.  A full week on a college campus. No shortcuts, no surface-level work, just real investment in the next generation.

On the court, it’s high-level skill development.  Off the court, it goes just as hard. Leadership sessions. Confidence building. Real conversations about showing up, speaking up, and leading in every room they walk into.

And it doesn’t end when the week does.

These athletes stay connected through mentorship, guidance, and a network that shows up for them all year long. Because growth isn’t a one-week moment. It’s a continuous build.

Camps and Clinics

This is where the love for the game really starts.

Our Camps & Clinics bring the Mystics to girls across the DMV. Creating space to learn, compete, and just hoop. From first dribble to building real skills, it’s all welcome here.

Our week-long Mystics Summer Camp sessions for girls ages 6–14 feature fundamentals, game play, and confidence-building taught the Mystics way. It’s structured, but never stiff. Competitive, but always joyful.

And we’re intentional about access.

Through the Mystics Fund, we provide scholarships for low-resourced families, making sure cost isn’t the reason a girl misses out. Because talent is everywhere, opportunity should be too.

Her Colors: Uniform Grants

Every team deserves to look like a team and feel like one, too.

Our Her Colors uniform grants do more than put jerseys on backs. They build unity. When girls suit up together, it creates identity, pride, and a sense of belonging that keeps them in the game. This isn’t just about what they wear, it’s about being part of something bigger than themselves.

We’re intentional about what those uniforms deliver. The right fit. Breathable materials. Performance-first design. Darker colorways that shift the focus from appearance to play. Because when athletes aren’t worrying about how they look, they can lock in on how they perform.

This work also levels the playing field. Not every family has the means to keep up with expensive, branded gear, and they shouldn’t have to. Uniform grants reduce that pressure, bridge socioeconomic gaps, and make sure every player steps on the court with the same confidence.

EquipHER:
Sports Bra Donations

Confidence starts with comfort. Through EquipHER, we’re removing barriers that too often go unseen. Making sure girls have the essentials they need to step on the court ready to go. No distractions, just hoops. In the spring of 2026, we donated more than 13,000 sports bras, equipping every middle and high school student-athlete within DC Public Schools.
